As the winter is here we have to limit the daily menu, because of the stagnancy and lack of movements. We hurry to get from the bed to the chair in the office and the other way around. We take the car to the office or taxi or the bus, but we limit out walks, which means that all the energy that the food is giving us isn’t expended well and it turns into fat eventually. And I doubt the fact that you are going to move more, that’s why I want to share with you what I learnt about the winter foods and more importantly, which are these foods.
Take a look:
Bee pollen. A jar full of pollen contains 40% protein and half of it is actually full of amino acids, which are quickly digested. It is richer in amino acids than anything else, including eggs, veal, cheese and others. Researches have proved its antibacterial, blood forming, blood vessel walls strengthening and other benefits. It has also low calorific value – two full tablespoons of pollen do not contain more than 90 calories. It successfully rejuvenates and nourishes the skin while fights at the same time with aging and stubborn acne in teenagers.
Pineapple. Eating pineapple is a wonderful prevention against thickening of the blood, it is also recommended in cardiovascular, kidney, muscle and infectious diseases of different origin. Pineapple is a great helper in fighting against the stubborn cellulite.
Red Lentils. It is not particularly different in taste than the regular brown lentils, but the red lentils is extremely rich in iron and proteins. It is a suitable choice for people who do sports and want to build muscle mass, because the proteins in one serving red lentils equivalent to the amount of proteins in pure meat serving. Just one cup of red lentils a day can provide us with nearly 50% of the needed daily dose of protein, while this portion contains no more than 250 calories. It is also rich in fiber, which can help you adjust and stabilize the levels of the blood sugar.
Lemon. This sour fruit helps in dissolving gall stones and kidney stones, while helping to prevent their comeback. Reduces the chance of getting nervous diseases, relieves allergy symptoms and if you want to purify your liver you have to drink lemon juice first thing in the morning before the breakfast. Lemon neutralizes free radicals in the body and thus helps us not only to be more healthy, but also to age more slowly.
Fish. Especially salmon, which contains a huge amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for the cardiovascular, prevent blood clotting. Salmon is recommended in diabetes, reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s, helps in gaining muscle mass and regulate cholesterol. Salmon is rich in proteins and poor in calories. Salmon is a perfect food for the winter.
