The beautiful city of Barcelona is laying in Catalonia. It is a historic center and is visited by thousand of travelers every year. As a whole Barcelona has a lot to offer – churches, beaches, beautiful parks and much more. Since the city is build under the influence of the Romans, you could only imagine how beautiful the architecture is. You can just go to Barcelona without a plan and get lost in the beautiful streets and feel amazing in whichever season you decide to go.

One of the most popular sights in Barcelona (or probably the most popular one) is La Sagrada Familia. It is designed by Antoni Gaudi and it has an unusual architectural construction and look for the typical Spanish type. It is the most visited place in the city. It is a good idea to book tickets ahead or you will spend the day waiting in a line. The church is still unfinished, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need to see it. Gaudi knew how much time it will take to build it and it should be ready in 2026 -100 years after his death.

As a whole Gaudi can be discovered all around the city as the modernism. You should also take time to visit the Park Guell. It feels fairly tallish. Take time to walk around the city and you will see much more of his work. There is no way you won’t recognize it.

If you are a seeker for art you will most definitely need to visit the Picasso Museum. It is one of a kind. Picasso lived in Barcelona for a long time. His art was influenced by the beautify of the city. The museum is located in a gothic art house and this will be an attraction for you too. Although the museum doesn’t hold the most famous paintings of the artist it holds his firsts. And the firsts are always something special.

If you are into gothic and actually if you are no too – you should go to the Barrio Gotico area. It is the medieval city of  Barcelona and it is the oldest part. The history museum of the city (which most definitely should be visited) is located in this area. There are old Roman walls which you could enjoy while walking around and exploring – you will also find great parks and small shops, where you could buy amazing local finds.

Another amazing feature to  Barcelona are the gorgeous sandy beaches. If you go there through the hotter seasons you should most definitely spend a day at the beach. Just don’t forget your sunscreen.

At the evening you can hit the great Spanish restaurants. They have amazingly delicious fresh fishes and as a whole the Mediterranean kitchen is amazing.  Eat some of the local sweets and pastry. Sip a cocktail on a beautiful terrace. Or if you are into it just enjoy the nightlife, because believe me you won’t forget it!

Barcelona is a place filled with wonders and there is something for everyone. You just have to be willing to see!
