If you like traveling abroad then you have probably been to the most famous cities in the world like London, Tokyo, New York, Paris, Rome. Or if you haven’t you sure have  heard some fact about the cities like when in Rome you should see the famous Trevi Fountain, in London – Buckingham Palace, or that New York is called “The Big Apple”. But there are some facts about these cities you did not know about for sure, even if you have been there. Sit back and be careful not to be too much amazed.

Paris
One of the most romantic cities in the world has its own rules when it comes to aesthetics. Paris is the only place in the world where the capital letter M in “McDonald’s” is not yellow but white. The city council insisted on this change because the color yellow looked “tasteless”.

London
The Buckingham palace is the residence of the Queen in London, a well-known fact. However, before it was built in 1702, on that very place was situated a famous bordello. Interesting choice of the royal architects.

This is the most populated region in the world. The population is growing rapidly. The urban population has increased from 746 million in 1950 to 3.9 billion in 2014.
