In the winter we often face the problem of the so-called “dry skin”, which often leads to the itchy scalp effects. The cold weather is not in favor of our lips as well. When they are dry, little cracks appear which sometimes even bleed. But we have found a solution to your dry lips problem and believe it or not, this is the sea salt.
Sea salt becomes more and more popular because of all its benefits. It is not only delicious (if we have to be honest, our meals won’t be half that good if we do not put salt in them) but is it also healthy. When you mix sea salt with water and drink it, it will help you have normal cholesterol levels and normal blood pressure. It makes your immune system stronger. It is unbelievable but sea salt also helps reduce weight by supporting your body to create juices that digest food faster. It also contains small amounts of potassium, an element that is essential for the function of the muscles. And, of course, salt helps remove dead skin cells.
Vaseline probably brings even more benefits to lips than the sea salt. It is very good for the skin as a moisturizer. It helps sooth burns. Many people use it to make their eyelashes and eyebrows thicker and longer by applying it every night before sleep. Vaseline can even remove makeup and as a plus makes your face shiny. You can also use it as eyebrow gel, nail polish freshener, a cure for split ends and many other things. And since it is winter and we need help for that dry lip skin, Vaseline is to the rescue.
Here is a recipe that combines both of these wonder-makers
Dry lips cure – Sea salt & Vaseline
- Mix Vaseline with sea salt. The quantity depends on which parts of your body you want to scrub. You can apply it all over your body if you want to.
- Apply the mixture on your lips and gently rub in circular motion. Do this for a couple of minutes to get rid of dry skin.
- Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Last, apply only a thin layer of Vaseline to heal your skin and to make it soft and smooth.
Now you can enjoy your smooth and healthy lips even in winter.
