If you don’t like how the black color stay on your eyes, but you want to make a smoky makeup effect, you have to switch the color with lighter one. How about brown shadow? If your eyes are brown or green, they will be flattered by the brown colored smoky makeup. Take a look at the tutorial and follow the steps one by one if you want to achieve this look. Personally, it is one of my favorite makeup tutorials, because it is simple and saves a lot of time, especially when I have a morning meeting with my editor and I’m running late. So, enough with the empty talks, let’s get down to business. All you have to do is to read the steps down below and use the picture as a guideline. Here we go:
-
The first step is quite simple and I’m sure you have already done it – the shaping and the filling of your brows. It is an essential step, especially for the smoky design, because it is capable of making the brows look pale. So, take the brow kit and do the job, it is not that hard – line the shape of the brows and then fill it in with proper colors. Use an angled, flat brush for natural texture of the brows.
Then highlight the brow bone and apply primer to the lids (if you want long lasting makeup).
Now you have two options – apply brown shimmer shadow or apply brown kohl pencil on the lid. I prefer the pencil, because it is opaque and you can shape it easier with the brush. This will be your base.
Now take the brush and start pulling the color up to the crease. Reapply if the color starts to look transparent.
Then create the smoky effect with light brown shadow. Use a fluffy round brush.
Finish the look with a coat of mascara and cat-eye liner.
Enjoy this formal and feminine makeup. Match it with nude-colored lips!
